Boaterland Wild West Indies!

Put some fruit on your hat or tie a bandana and come sail, dance and swim with us in the Bohuslän archipelago — Sweden’s own Wild West Indies.

The plan so far:

⚓ Brännö – 19 August We gather with our boats on Wednesday night. Boatless crew and passengers can reach the island by ferry.Sometime before noon the next day we set sail toward the wilder islands further up the coast.

🏝 By an island north of Marstrand we meet up with more boats and drop anchor in time for dinner.

🌊 At sea – 20–23 August Expect sunsets, swims, music drifting across the water, lanterns on deck and the glowing magic of bioluminescence in the night sea.

This invitation is personal but happily extends to everyone you know. Join with your boat if you have one. If not: gang up and rent a boat. Or better yet: bring camping gear and join as crew or passenger on someone else’s boat. Boaterland operates according to the Swedish saying: Finns det hjärterum finns det stjärterum. It’s also an event guided by the ten principles of Burning man. 🔥

That said, the only real plan is to enjoy sea, sail and sun together. Anything else your creative mind brings will be a much cherished bonus.
